June 06, 2010 02:03 am | Updated 02:03 am IST - Coimbatore:

The Pilots and Assistant Loco Pilots of Southern Railway have threatened to go on strike after June 15, if the Railway Board fails to release the fast track committee report and if the findings are adverse.

A release from C.T. Shaji, Divisional Secretary of All India Loco Running Staff Association said in the last two years after the Sixth Pay Commission recommendations were released, loco pilots and assistant loco pilots were on agitation to rectify the anomalies in pay scales.

The All India Loco Running Staff Association had conducted various agitations.

The fast track committee was formed in January this year and had promised to release its report by April 15.

As the committee had failed to fulfil its promise, the Railway Board promised to release the report by June 15 after the strike in Mumbai.

The strike proclamation convention held at Palakkad recently decided to go on strike after June 15.
