Former AIADMK MLA and actor Radha Ravi rejoined the DMK in the presence of party’s working president M.K. Stalin on Tuesday.

The actor, who used to campaign for the DMK, left the party and joined the AIADMK after difference of opinion with the party leadership.

He was elected from the Saidapet Assembly constituency in a by-election in 2002 on an AIADMK ticket. But he was not re-nominated in the 2006 election.

Though he kept a distance from the AIADMK leadership, he rejoined the party in 2010. But he was not very active and has now joined the DMK again.

“It is a homecoming for me. I have boldly joined the party when not many people are prepared to join it,” he told reporters.

He said the DMK would soon become a ruling party and there was no leader other than M.K. Stalin who could rule the State. “DMK is the only political party that enjoys the confidence of the people,” he added.
