Rabi Bernard, the AIADMK candidate for the Rajya Sabha seat from Tamil Nadu, filed his nomination papers before A.M.P. Jamaludeen, Assembly Secretary, on Monday.

The vacancy was caused by the resignation of Pubic Works Department (PWD) Minister K.V. Ramalingam on his election to the Assembly.

Finance Minister O. Panneerselvam, Agriculture Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan and Electricity Minister R. Viswanathan were among those present.
