Pythons rescued

January 30, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:35 am IST - KRISHNAGIRI:

The locals of Kondepalli created a flutter when they walked into the Collectorate premises with two pythons, on Thursday. The snakes, each measuring eight to nine feet, were found in the field of Perumal (60), a famer of Kondepalli. Following this, the pythons were captured by the locals, who had alerted the forest department. However, after a four-hour wait, the Kondepalli residents carried the two pythons to the Collectorate in a bid to hand them over to the district administration. However, the forest department personnel reached on time to collect the pythons.
