Public hearing on TNEB tariff revision

The first public hearing on the tariff revision proposal submitted by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission will take place at Rani Seethai Hall on Anna Salai here on March 30.

This will go on from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m, according to a release of the TNERC.

The other three hearings will be held at the Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce, Kamarajar Salai, Madurai, on April 8; Nani Kalai Arangam of the Mani Higher Secondary School, Pappannaciken Palayam, Coimbatore, on April 13 and Taj Kalayana Mandapam. Karur Bye-Pass Road, Tiruchi, on April 15. All these hearings will be conducted between 10-30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Those interested in making personal submissions can register their names at the venue of the hearings at 9 a.m.

The last date for submission of objections/comments to the TNEB proposal is March 25. The proposal is available on the websites of the Commission [http://tnerc.tn.nic.in/] and the TNEB [http://www.tneb.in/].
