Tamilnadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK) organised a protest near the Chennai Collector’s office on Rajaji Salai on Sunday.

They raised slogans against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for allegedly not protecting the minority community.

Party leader M.H. Jawahirullah accused BJP Ministers of supporting those involved in the ghastly rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl in Jammu and Kashmir.

The protesters along with small children held placards seeking justice for the victim.

They also wanted the offenders to be immediately brought to book and punished. Other leaders, including Suba Veerapandian and T. Velmurugan of Tamilaga Vazhvurimai Katchi, participated in the protest.
