Project grants for 3 varsities

National Institute of Technology (Tiruchi), Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women and Annamalai University have been selected for project grants under the Obama-Singh 21 century Knowledge Initiative Award for 2013.

The projects in which the universities will partner with U.S. institutions will carry an award of $2,50,000 each. The NIT in partnership with University of Nevada, Las Vegas, will pursue ‘Cognitive-based Curriculum Development Tool for Emerging Areas of Computer Engineering and Management Studies for Teaching-Learning Process.” Avinashilingam Institute for Home Sciences and Higher Education for Women in partnership with University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, will research “A sustainable response for home science and higher education for women.” Annamalai University with Tennessee Tech University will work “Tamil Nadu Energy Futures: Mapping uncertainties and remarks”.
