The 19 AIADMK MLAs owing allegiance to the ousted AIADMK deputy General Secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran were on Friday moved to The Sunway Manor hotel in Puducherry. The Tamil Nadu MLAs were staying in Windflower Resort and Spa since August 22, 2017.

AIADMK’s Karnataka unit chief and Mr. Dhinakaran’s loyalist V. Pugazhendi told The Hindu that the MLAs will continue to stay in Puducherry till Tamil Nadu Governor Ch.Vidyasagar Rao takes a decision. The Governor has the powers to keep the Assembly under suspended animation, he added. Mr. Rao is likely to arrive in Chennai on August 26, 2017 afternoon.

Meanwhile, Mr. Dhinakaran might arrive in Puducherry on August 25, 2017 evening, Mr. Pugazhendi added.

The 19 MLAs had on August 22, 2017 submitted letters to Governor Ch.Vidyasagar Rao at Raj Bhavan, expressing lack of confidence in Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and withdrawing support to him.
