Private sector's contribution to higher education hailed

Almost 98 per cent of the higher educational institutions were with the private sector making significant contribution to the economic growth of the nation, V. Malakonda Reddy, founder president of the Federation of Associations of Management of Unaided Professional Educational Institutions in India (FAMPEI), said here on Saturday.

Speaking at a national seminar on “Rights and Privileges of Unaided Professional Educational Institutions in India” at the Park College of Engineering and Tekhnology, he said the All India Council for Technical Education was crippling these institutions with unconstitutional and unwarranted regulations.
