Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday called upon the State Skill Development Mission to prepare an action plan for conducting short-term skill development training programmes in schools, colleges and industrial training institutes. Chairing a meeting of the Mission at the Secretariat, Mr. Stalin also wanted the body to improve upon the existing scheme of training programmes and constitute district-level skill development committees.
K.S. Sripathi, Chief Secretary and P. Selvam, Additional Chief Secretary and the head of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department attended the meeting.
