A 24-year-old graduate of Siluvaipatti, a coastal hamlet in Thoothukudi district, T. Anbarasu has hogged the limelight by clearing the Chartered Accountancy (CA) final examinations, the results of which were announced recently.

Feeling so happy and proud to become a Chartered Accountant at a young age, the boy hailing from a poor fisherman family thanked his parents for their support and expressed his gratitude to a faculty member of accounts department, M. Masillamani Ravi, for his guidance.

He was also thankful to Anne Jose J, Chairman, Tuticorin branch of Southern India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and its members.

Until he completed higher secondary education, Tamil was his medium of instruction.

Thereafter, he pursued CA and simultaneously completed his graduation through distance education at Madras University, he said here on Wednesday.

He said that the CA final examination was universally recognised as one of the toughest professional examinations.

Three levels

The examinations were divided into three levels — Common Proficiency Test (CPT), Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) and the final examination.
