Pon. Radhakrishnan hails announcement of AIIMS for Tamil Nadu

Union Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Pon. Radhakrishnan has welcomed the announcement on establishment of an AIIMS-like institution in Tamil Nadu.

In a statement released here on Saturday, Mr. Radhakrishnan said that the Union Budget would pave way for development of the nation and termed it a budget with long-term vision.

He welcomed the announcement of 10 years’ imprisonment for stashing black money and fine of 300 per cent . This, he felt, was one of the stringent measures to control unaccounted money.

Mr. Radhakrishnan hailed the schemes for construction of two crore houses in urban and four croe houses in rural areas, six crore toilets under the Swatch Bharat Scheme and provision of electricity to 20,000 villages.

The Minister thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for giving AIIMS-like institution to Tamil Nadu.
