The police have arrested a 25-year-old woman for creating fake appointment orders for the post of noon meal organisers.

Suganthi, a resident of Olakasi village, had taken ₹3.5 lakh from five of her relatives promising to get them jobs in the noon meal scheme. Police said she created fake appointment orders at an internet centre and forged the Collector’s signature.

She then lodged a complaint that she had given money to a noon meal scheme staff at the Collectorate but was cheated with fake orders. Police found it to be a false complaint.

Following this, the staff petitioned to the Collector to take action against Suganthi for lodging a fake complaint. Gudiyatham taluk police conducted an inquiry and found that Suganthi had created fake orders. They have seized a computer from the internet centre where she had prepared the fake orders.
