PMK founder Dr. Ramadoss on Monday said that Karnataka is conspiring to stop the formation of the Cauvery Water Management Authority despite the gazette notification by the Union Government.

In a statement, he said the Karnataka government, along with Kerala and Puducherry, had not yet recommended nominees for the proposed Cauvery Water Management Authority (Puducherry has since announced its nominee). “Appointing part-time members is not hard. The Union government notification says the water resources secretary of each State should be appointed. The Karnataka government is refusing to do even this,” he said.
