PMK founder S Ramadoss on Saturday demanded that the Tamil Nadu government fully implement the S Muthukumaran Committee recommendations in introducing “equitable” standard education.

Talking to reporters here, he urged that the government instead of “wasting huge amounts of money on its various free schemes” divert it for implementing this education system.

The Tamil Nadu government on August 26 announced the implementation of equitable standard school education in the State from the next academic year.

Chief Minister M Karunanidhi had said the equitable standard school education was a new scheme to provide uniform and quality education to all children.
