Cadres of Communist Party of India (Marxist) thronged the Collectorate here on Monday seeking the intervention of the district administration to bring back the body of A. Muthuraj (26) of Kasavankunru village in Ettayapuram taluk from Saudi Arabia.

The cadres, led by district secretary K.S. Arjunan, staged a demonstration in front of the Collectorate. Mr. Arjunan said that his family members were informed about his death on October 16. A colleague of Muthuraj informed them that he died under mysterious circumstances and the body was kept at Najran General Hospital in Saudi Arabia.

T. Ramamurthy and Saravanakumar, relatives of the deceased, had been trying to bring back the body for the past one month but in vain, he said.

Muthuraj was employed by Al-Raudha Aluminium, a carpentry company, on April 11 through a Madurai-based agent.

Later, Ettayapuram taluk party secretary Ravindran submitted a petition to Collector M. Ravikumar in this connection.
