Personal interview for pensioners from April 1

The personal interview for pensioners in Salem district for the year 2015-16 will be held at the district treasury office between April 1 and June 30.

The interview will be held between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on all working days. The following is the interview schedule for the pensioners:

Those drawing pension through the main branch of State Bank of India should appear on Mondays; main branch and other branches of Indian Overseas Bank on Tuesdays; main and other branches of Indian Bank and Syndicate Bank on Wednesdays; main and other branches of Canara Bank on Thursdays.

All those drawing pension through the main and other branches of State Bank of India and other branches can appear for the interview on Fridays.

The pensioners should bring pension book, bank pass book, core banking account number, PAN card and copies of ration card and Aadhaar card for attending the interview.

The pensioners who are not in a position to attend the interview in person should submit Life Certificate and the above five documents duly attested by the gazetted officials. They should also submit a certificate that they had not re-married.

The pensioners residing in foreign countries should submit the life certificate provided by that country’s magistrate, Notary Public, bank manager or embassy officials.

The pensioners should also mention the present address, mobile phone number, e-mail address too, a press release of the District Treasury Officer issued here said.

The pension of those pensioners, who failed to appear in person or submit the required documents between April and June 2015, will be stopped from the month of August as per the Government rules, the release said.

The personal appearance announcement will not cover the Central Government pensioners, those attached to the PSB scheme, Railways, Postal Department, Employees Provident Fund, TANGEDCO pensioners.
