A.G.Perarivalan, one of the life convicts in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, has decided to file an appeal in the Madras High Court against the orders of State Information Commission as well as the reluctance of the TADA court to divulge required information. He had sought information on questions pertaining to Multi Disciplinary Monitoring Agency.
Perarivalan filed a petition to the Public Authority of the designated TADA court in Chennai on Aug. 12, 2013 and the court furnished replies on Aug. 27, 2013. But petitioner said that but for one question the court furnished either incomplete or incorrect answers.
He filed first appeal with the Appellate Authority, Madras High Court (under RTI) on Oct. 1, 2013 for which he received replies.
But Perarivalan was not satisfied with these answers as well and filed second appeal with State Information Commission. The Commission conducted an enquiry and gave orders.
The SIC accepted the stand of Public Information Officer of the court that it was unable to divulge information sought.
K.Tholkappian, advocate for Perarivalan, told The Hindu that they will file appeal against SIC order in High Court once the regular court begins after vacation.
