Payment of dues: TANGEDCO serves notice on Tirupur Corporation

The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) on Friday served notice on Tirupur Corporation asking to pay the electricity consumption charges of Rs. 12 crore pending since the beginning of the current financial year.

“If Corporation administration fails to remit the full dues within the stipulated period mentioned in the notice, further action will be taken according to the law”, Tangedco Superintending Engineer N. Sekar told The Hindu . Subsequent to the serving of the notice on the day, the Corporation administration hurriedly remitted Rs 1.68 crore out of the pending Rs. 12 crore.
