Pass percentage in government schools goes up

Overall pass percentage in Plus Two exam in government schools in Thoothukudi district this year went up to 91.73 from 90.94 recorded last year, sources from Education Department said.

Eighteen government schools in the district produced centum result this year as against the six schools that achieved the feat last year. Out of the 177 schools in the district, 67, including government, aided, self-financed, matriculation and Anglo Indian board schools, produced centum results.

Centums

As many as 145 students scored centum in Commerce, 141 in Accountancy, 39 in Mathematics, 22 in Business Maths, 16 in Chemistry, 14 in Economics, five each in Statistics and History, three each in Biology and Botany, and one each in Computer Science and Zoology, sources added.
