PACB secretary held in graft case

Secretary of the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Bank at Pazhavoor has been nabbed for allegedly accepting bribe from a farmer on Wednesday.

According to sources in the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, farmer Chandrasekaran of Aavaraikulam asked Rajapandian, secretary, PACB, Pazhavoor, to recommend waiver of crop loan he had availed from the PACB. When Rajapandian demanded Rs. 4,000, the farmer filed a complaint with Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Tirunelveli.

A trap was laid and the police nabbed him.
