Over 200 receive assistance in Chengam taluk

As many as 244 persons received assistance during the mass contact programme held in Paramanandal village in Chengam taluk on Wednesday.

District Collector A. Gnanasekaran met the beneficiaries and distributed the aid personally to all. He gave away patta to 10 persons, house site patta to 14 persons, ration cards to 86 persons, old age pension orders to 121 and agricultural implements to five persons etc.

Petitions

That apart, Collector received 518 petitions from the villagers. Tiruvannamalai MP Vanaroja, Revenue Divisional Officer Uma Maheswari, Special Deputy Collector (Social Security Scheme) T. Jothi, Joint Director of Agriculture Jayachandran and Chengam tahsildar Dinakaran were among the officials who participated.
