Online registration for TANCET begins

The work of on-line registration in person by the candidates appearing for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2015) conducted by Anna University, Chennai, for admission into MBA, MCA and ME / M. Tech /M. Arch / M. Plan degree programmes commenced at the Govrnment College of Engineering here on Wednesday.

R. S. D. Wahida Banu, Principal, Government College of Engineering (GCE), handed over the hall tickets affixed with photos instantly to the candidates who registered their names in person.

The Anna University will conduct the TANCET for admission into the above programmes offered at the University Departments, University College of Engineering, Regional Centres of Anna University, Government and Government aided engineering colleges, arts and science colleges and self-financing colleges. The entrance examination will be held on May 16 (for MCA and MBA) and on May 17 (for ME / M.Tech/M.Arch/ M. Plan).

Speaking to presspersons, Dr. Wahida Banu said that GCE is one of the coordinating centres for registration of the candidates of four districts of Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri in person. The last date for registration at the coordination centre is April 20.

The candidates should bring copy of the SSLC or Plus Two mark sheets and fee (Rs. 500 for general candidates and Rs. 250 for SC and ST candidates).

Dr. Wahida Banu said that the applications will be verified immediately and the hall tickets with the photo of the candidate will be issued immediately.
