One spectator gored to death at Avaarangadu jallikattu

A spectator was gored to death by a bull during a jallikattu that is underway at Avaarangadu in Tiruchi district on Tuesday.

Police sources said the victim, R. Solaiandi (25) of Pudukottai district, was attacked by a bull at the end point of the ground.

With severe bleeding Solaiandi was rushed to Manaparrai Government Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

As many as 20 persons were injured so far in the event, which commenced in the morning.

This is the second jallikattu in Tiruchi district after the one organised at Suriyur on Monday.
