The objective of starting the day care centre was to help elderly people, especially women and handicapped, overcome the feeling of loneliness they experience during day time at their homes.

Hitherto the association runs its old age home with 30 inmates at an old tiled house in the hamlet, according to association chairman V. Krishnamurthi.
