Nuclear energy is clean: Kalam

Former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam has said that he would comment on the nuclear safety issue after 10 days.

He, however, said nuclear energy was clean energy, when reporters specifically asked about the fears expressed over the safety of Kudankulam project.

After participating in a green cover drive at Nandangkarai near here on Saturday, he said that he wanted 10 days to comment on this issue as he had asked for details regarding the nuclear installations in the country.
