N.R. Congress releases first list of candidates

President of N.R. Congress N. Rangasamy on Thursday announced the candidates for 11 constituencies in the Puducherry and Karaikal regions. Mr Rangasamy will be contesting from the newly formed Indira Nagar constituency.

Others who are in the fray are P.M. Kalyanasundaram (Kalapet), P. Anandhabaskaran (Mangalam), P. Rajavelu (Embalam SC), T. Thiyagarajan (Bahour), A. Ashok Anandh (Thattanchavady), M. Vaithiyanathan (Lawspet), G. Nehru alias Kuppusamy (Orleampeth), N.G. Pannerselvam (Ozhukarai), M Chandrakasu (Nedungadu SC) and P R Siva (Thirunallar).

Announcing the candidates at a press conference here, Mr. Rangasamy said the second list would be released shortly. He further said talks are on with the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
