Kanyakumari administration has introduced online issuance of certificates under the e-governance project
People from the district can pay online their electricity bills at select Primary Agriculture Cooperative Thrift Societies, according to Collector S. Nagarajan.
In a press release issued here on Monday, the Collector said for the people to obtain community, residential, income, first graduate and deserted women certificates immediately, the district administration had introduced the online issuance of the certificates under the e-governance project from April 14, 2013.
For this, the applicants had to visit the nearby Primary Agriculture Cooperative Thrift Society and apply for the required certificates through the online centre set up at the society. After the stipulated time period, the applicants could get the required certificates at the society concerned.
As the scheme received good response, the issuance of ‘chitta’ copies and submission of petitions for social welfare schemes and election-related works were also introduced through the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Thrift Societies.
The payment of electricity bill through select Primary Agriculture Cooperative Thrift Societies had been facilitated for the benefit of villagers.
The press release said the people living in Aralvoimozhi, Azhagiyapandipuram, Mela Krishnanputhoor, Kumarapuram Thoppur, Puthalam, North Tamaraikulam, South Tamaraikulam, Mukilanvilai, Myladi, Munjiravilai, Sarukkalvilai, Karavilai, Suchindrum, Kadukkarai, Thittuvilai, Veeravanallur, Therroor, Maravankudiyiruppu, Kanyakumari panchayat, Oootivazmadam, Azagappapuram, Eraviputhur, Vellamadam, Arumanallur, Siramadam, Eathamozhy, Parakkai, Putheri, Thovalai, Saangai, Kattimoncode, Mavilai, Palapallam, Manavilai, Veeranarayanaseri, Nathancodu, Kulasekaram, Malayadi, Eraviputhurkadai, Keelkulam, Asanvilai, Neyyoor, Lekshmipuram, Parapattu, Saral, Kandanvilai, Muttaicadu, Thirunanthikarai, Vendalicode, Ponmanai and the surrounding areas could pay their electricity bills through the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Thrift Societies.
