‘Udanpirappugal’ - members of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam - can ‘shower’ e-greetings on their leader, M. Karunanidhi, when he turns 89 on Monday, June 3. The party has added an e-facility to record greetings to the former Chief Minister. Birthday greetings can be sent through mobile phone or recorded in the website, www.kalaignarkarunanidhi.com.

To take the mobile route, one has to type DMK, followed by space, to record birthday greetings. SMS wishes should be sent to 56161. For online greetings, one has to log on to www.kalaignarkarunanidhi.com where a page opens ahead of the home page. Messages can be typed after providing the name, mobile number and e-mail id of the sender and the place from where it is sent.

Virtual greeting is not the only facility available for followers of the former Chief Minister. Real time updates and news on ‘Kalaignar’ Karunanidhi can be received in Android and IOS devices through Google Play and AppStore, says the home page of his website.

The e-greeting facility was activated at the party headquarters here on Saturday by DMK treasurer, M. K. Stalin, who also sent the first greeting to his father.
