There is no change in the position of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam on the issue of Presidential election, which was communicated to Defence Minister A.K. Antony when he called on DMK president M. Karunanidhi [on April 29].

Clarifying this at a press meet on Thursday, Mr. Karunanidhi said Congress president Sonia Gandhi, through Mr. Antony, had conveyed to him the prospective Presidential candidate. He had agreed with the choice, the DMK leader said, telling reporters not to ask him who the candidate was.
