New CBSE school planned near Vellore

The Arham Foundation has planned to start a school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at Kannikapuram in Kalanipakkam village near Vellore from the academic year 2011-2012.

Giving this information at a function here on Monday, H. Mittalal Surana, managing trustee of the foundation and correspondent of the school, Anuvrat Vidhyalaya, said the object of the school is to ensure overall holistic development of the child.

While special focus would be given in teaching students the ‘science of living,' the other special features of the school would include teaching of meditation and yoga for the development of the body and the mind.

The facilities at the school would include indoor stadium, swimming pool, supply of nutritious beverage, separate safety lockers in classrooms to enable students to keep their books, and medical facilities.

Located on the road leading to the Sripuram Golden Temple from Pallikonda, the school would be admitting students from pre-KG to Standard VII this year.
