Congratulations on a great victory. People have decisively voted for good governance, free of corruption ,nepotism, and positve welfare measures, not freebies. The government should ensure sound education with good teachers, clean school rooms with proper equipment and facilities . The phobia against education in English and Hindi bhasa resulted in poor availability of jobs for the youth in Tamil Nadu. There is no point in boasting that TamilNadu has more than 400 Engineering colleges when hardly half a dozen of them have some standards, while the rest are abysmally rotten. There is need to improve toilet facilities, particularly for women all over the state, decent roads and clean drinking water availability.
Inflation is the burning problem prevailing in the nation. Tamil Nadu is no exception for that. Expecting the new government to take the remedial measures to bring the inflation down. Also, the new government can appoint a special team to collect the demands put forth by the people through these reviews
With all the trust and hope, TN people has elected AIADMK. Madam MUST take utmost care in law and order, corruption and traffic disturbances particularly when she is commuting. Ofcourse, her safety is the prime importance, but it has to regulated without disturbing public. We all dream that she administers well and rules the hearts of people and continue for another session.
Jayalalitha or Karunanithi. The same old corruption revisited. Unless we get rid of both of them we will never have salvation for people of Tamil Nadu! Look at the ministers bowing their heads to her. It is nauseating and pure sycophancy. We need some new blood who are educated and have service at their hearts.
I think Jayalalitha with this government and mixed bag of people of ages shall prove not only Tamil Nadu a good governance but also a constructive and fruitful environment on developmental aspects. Kindly throw out the Congress-DMK rule out for ever and show them that this present government is far-far effecient and can rule better with taking much cohersive decision.
what is importantly demanded from the new CM is the finest education policies, clean and green state, empowerment of villages, uninterrupted power supply and all removal of all the present day deficiencis!
I will be happy if Madam gives instructions to Egmore Police to totally get RID of nuisance of vendors and Auto rikshaws in KENNETH LANE who are causing immense problem for everyone especially for women who have to walk thru this lane to reach Office. This is An urgent task and general public of this area will be much thankful for Madam because she can only do that though this street is ONEWAY it is not followed inspite of being close to commissioner of police office.
A word of caution to the new Government: Ensure transparency in all actions of Government. Discourage giving bribe or taking bribe. Prescribe time limit to address grievances submitted to government. Discourage recommendations, decide cases only on merit. Put an end to rowdism with strong hand. Respect officials and motivate them to do their work without interference and as per rules. Every Government official should be account for their actions. Encourage good actions by officials and reward them suitably for their devotion. Avoid giving too many freebees and inculcate in people's mind that without pain there is no gain and one should work to earn his livelihood. Try to improve infrastructure projects and spend money on capital works . All public works, like construction of government building, laying down roads, repairing roads, etc are properly inspected and ensure payment only after full satisfaction of the work executed as per terms of contract. Lastly taxi , Call taxies and autos should be prevented to charge passengers in excess of what is most reasonable and charge those who charge exhorbitantly ,if necessary cancel their permits/licences.
I watched all the excitement after AIADMK victory....just couldn't resist why people are after becoming a MLA, Minister etc ? Is it true public service to the people ? Or to REAP! the benefits. Will these people volunteer to donate blood, help in constructing a house, build a bridge ? I am waiting for a day when people will be invited without elections to serve the people and there will be no takers ( might be few if people like Ghandhi, Kamaraj are reborn!)...
Did anyone even bother to ask questions on the credentials of the finance minister? Absolutely not. Everyone for some reason are so happy that as if they have brought down corruption by voting, and thats where their job ends. Wake up people, Mr. O. Paneerselvam's only qualification is that he was a tea shop owner. While Tamilnadu(including esteemed Hindu) likes to boast about smart people in TN, and person A got 99% in math and this person B got into IIT with this much marks etc. Nobody seems to think critically and ask the right questions. No change is going to come in the near future when people are so blind to what is happening right in front of their eyes.
A very good selected team gives room for new faces and giving oppurtunity for them this in turn will help in building the party enlarge. But should not Neglect Warhorses like D.Jayakumar and others they should also be given berths or equivalent.
Hon'ble CM, kindly exercise vigilant control over Bureaucrats in Government offices and employ youngsters with full training. They can be sent to Switzerland to learn administration in panjayats (Gemeinde).Dr.Malaisamy, Ex MP is aware of this.
Hope, Madam has direct control over her ministers and be responsible for their acts. She has to have an agenda on controlling corruption among her ministers and take strict action again them immediately.
All the best to the new Cabinet team... hope ppl of tamilnadu will get the best government....
Seems to be good team. The secret lies how do they get things done from bureaucrats. As most of them are new, we hope that they will take TN forward with the help of able CM and honest & efficient government officials. We do know that all the problems can not be solved overnight but proper planning and working in the right direction may give good results in the years to come. My best wishes to them as well.
At 63, hopefully one should be thinking of the legacy and winning positive commentaries from future historians.
Respected Madam, Once again people has reposed faith in you. The onus is on your cabinet to bring peace and prosperity for the people of Tamil nadu. Please invest in Education and agriculture. Education can bridge the gap between the rich and poor and agriculture growth provide food security and provide jobs for marginalised and can reign on inflation. Please ensure that the wine shops which are dotting the state are reined in. I have seen college students waiting in queue for the shops to open in the morning hours. All the best for you and your team.
so far so good. No vindictive action please. proceed with the aim of bringing TN to number one position. Activate Arasu Cable Corporation and ensure cable connection to all and sundry. Monopoly in cable should not be allowed.
Any person can get information of all election candidates on their educational, finance and criminal background in this link.

The present government has been put in place after experiencing lot of hardships in the past couple of decades. The voter expects the government to give top priority for free and compulsory education for all in the age group 5 to l8 years, eliminate disparity in public life and accountability fixed for all legislators, ministers and beaurocrats. The ministers should also indulge in austerity and avoid extravagance in all their activities.
This mandate by the people of Tamil Nadu is against CORRUPTION and NOT against DMK. I hope Jaya is aware of this!
Congratulations. Clean and prompt government please. Nothing free in this government and create opportunities as per merits
Let all the ministers announce their current wealth NOW.
I feel that Mr.Saidai Duraisamy should have been given a berth in Ministry who gave a tough fight to Mr.Stalin
Really it is no good that among 33 Ministers no one is from Muslim Community, which is totally unacceptable decision, hope Miss:Jayaram Jayalalitha will reconsider to give a Ministry for Muslim Community. Because, entire Muslim community worked very.... very hard in the election to win AIADMK alliance based on the MMK's advices, therefore, it is has to be recognized by AIDMK Chief & TN CM Miss: Jayaram Jayalalitha, or else her adviser has to convey and convince her. And also, Mr. D. Jayakumar, (Royapuram) name is missing in list of ministers. Hope she will give a good governance to TN without any revenge, corruption and mistakes. Almighty God bless on her and her team to success in their sincere efforts and ventures.
More representation from minority community should have brought immense faith and trust of the minorities to the new CM. No muslim representative is there in the ministry. Only one christian minister is in the cabinet. Hope the new Chief Minister is truly accommodative with the minorities and she does not repeat her past mistakes.
It is a difficult task and yet she makes Paneerselvam as the finance minister, other than blind loyalty, he has no single qualification to be a MLA or a minister.
I think Tamil Nadu should get new party leaders. No more old faces.
Only one chance to be a MLA or CM.
Focus on governance, infrastructure, nil power cuts, bring more FDI to the state, more jobs, and lot can be done. No one should get lethargic as years pass on, it tends to
Jayalalithaa is known for her stubbornness and able administration. She should ensure her cabinet/party ensures corruption free administration and follow the path of Gujarat in development. She must also be accommodative to her alliance partners. For Tamilnadu, it is a good choice.
Hope TamilNadu will become #1 state in India with this new team. If not so in next election new government will be selected by the people of TamilNadu.
The new cabinet which is a blend of youth and experience seems to augur well for Tamil nadu at the present critical juncture when development plans have to be geared up and power cuts minimised.
It is great day for the AIADMK. Will this day and the days to come bring a new era to the Tamil Nadu? What will be the likely role of DMK alliance/DMK which has the backing of about 40% voters? Will the Capitan play a subdued role or will he aspire to be a man of importance in the governance of the state. Only time will answer to all these questions.
Makes more sense to also have the educational background of these ministers. In modern India, in order to have progress its essential to have right men doing the right job. So instead of allocating the portfolios based on loyalty it would be more wise to select suitable candidates.
Madam Hon'ble JJ, please shun all the publicity, ensure accountablity in the administration, provide clean governence to uplift the poor and downrtrodden.
Going through the list of ministers sworn in I felt sad that only two ladies found a place in Ms.Jayalaithaa's cabinet. It is very sad that a leader like Ms.Jayalalithaa was not able to find enough talent among the ladies in her party to shoulder responsibility in her government. I hope those who fight for women's rights will take note of this. It is high time all those who fight for women’s right come together and see to it that justice is done.
Can the present goverment restore all water source & water body of Tamil Nadu?
Can the people know the educational and other suitable background of all ministers of Tamil Nadu?
A good team, we hope they will do good for Tamil Nadu
while making and allocation of porfolios, Jayalalitha, has done her best, but the task ahead of the Ministry is huge.FIRST, the huge outstanding against the govt is to be taken with utmost care,so that the arrangement should not affect the common man who voted AAIDMK, to power, but,it will have margin effect, but the rise in petrol now, will have more effect, as this affects even auto traveller. The govt should pace the outstanding over the next 5/10 yearrs and also co odinate with the centre where centra loan involved.
