NDRF to conduct demonstrations

Government officials, public, students asked to attend drill

In a bid to create awareness on disaster management, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Arakkonam, will be conducting demonstrations from December 18 to 24 in various parts of the district.

Collector S.A. Raman, in a press release, said the demonstrations were being held to create awareness on disaster management among government officers, public and students in the district. He asked government officers, public, students and NGOs to attend the demonstrations held in their respective areas.

Schedule

The demonstrations will be held in the following places – Vellore block - Muthurangam Government Arts College, Otteri, at 3 p.m. on December 18, Tirupattur - Podhigai Engineering College, Adhiyur, at 11 a.m. on December 19, Vaniyambadi - Islamiah College, at 11 a.m. on December 20, Gudiyatham – Abirami Arts and Science College, Keezhalathur, at 11 a.m. on December 21, Katpadi – VIT at 3 p.m. on December 21, Ambur – K.A.R. Polytechnic, Solur, at 11 a.m. on December 22, Walajah - Annai Mira College of Engineering and Technology, Arapakkam, at 11 a.m. on December 23, Arcot – Adhiparasakthi College of Education, Kalavai, at 3 p.m. on December 23 and Nemili – Government Boys Higher Secondary School at 11 a.m. on December 24, the release said.
