Mr. Modi was in Chennai to participate the platinum jubilee of Tamil newspaper 'Daily Thanthi'.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday visited DMK leader M. Karunanidhi 's Gopalapuram residence in Chennai to inquire about the latter's health.

Mr. Modi was in the city to participate the platinum jubilee of Tamil newspaper Daily Thanthi.

 

Mr. Modi was welcomed by Mr. Karunanidhi's son and leader of the Opposition M.K. Stalin, and daughter Kanimozhi.

A total of 10,000 policemen, including additional commissioners, deputy commissioners and assistant commissioners, are part of the security cover for Mr. Modi's visit.
