DMK MLA A. Rajan, representing Nagercoil Assembly constituency, joined the AIADMK on Tuesday.
Mr. Rajan, who won the constituency in the 2006 Assembly elections, was not renominated. He had sent a letter to AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa.
In his letter to Ms. Jayalalithaa he had said he wanted to join the AIADMK. Former AIADMK Minister Thalavai Sundaram was asked by the AIADMK high-command to visit Mr. Rajan.
