Nagapattinam records 277 mm of rainfall

After a day of inclement weather, sky cleared up on Monday in the central districts.

Nagapattinam district experienced a total rainfall of 277 m.m. in the last 24 hours that ended at 8 a.m. on Monday. Vedaranyam experienced the maximum rainfall of 59.4 m.m. during the same period, followed by Tarangambadi which got 34 m.m.; Anaikarachathiram 32.5 m.m.; Tirupoondi 32 m.m.; Nagapattinam 33.1 m.m.; Talaignayar 2.2 m.m.; Sirkazhi 25.1 m.m.; Manalmedu 21.7 m.m.; Mayiladuthurai 13 m.m.

Tiruvarur district received 148.6 m.m. till this morning. Kodavasal got 25.2 m.m. rainfall, Tiruvarur 22.6 m.m.; Tiruthuraipoondi 18.6 m.m.; Muthupettai 17.4 m.m.; Mannargudi 15 m.m.; Nannilam 10.4 m.m.; Valangaiman 9.20 m.m.

Thanjavur district received 146.8 m.m. rainfall. The following are the chief amounts of rainfall in the district:

Madukkur 15.6 m.m.; Manjalaru 14.2 m.m.; Lower anicut 11.6 m.m.; Kumbakonam 11.2 m.m.; Tiruvidaimaruthur 11.1 m.m.; Eachanviduthi 10.2 m.m.; Neivasal Thenpathi 8.2 m.m.; Pattukottai 8 m.m.; Ayyampettai and Papanasam 6 m.m. each.
