Vedaranyam experienced the maximum rainfall of 59.4 m.m. during the same period, followed by Tarangambadi which got 34 m.m.; Anaikarachathiram 32.5 m.m.; Tirupoondi 32 m.m.; Nagapattinam 33.1 m.m.; Talaignayar 2.2 m.m.; Sirkazhi 25.1 m.m.; Manalmedu 21.7 m.m.; Mayiladuthurai 13 m.m.

Tiruvarur district received 148.6 m.m. till this morning. Kodavasal got 25.2 m.m. rainfall, Tiruvarur 22.6 m.m.; Tiruthuraipoondi 18.6 m.m.; Muthupettai 17.4 m.m.; Mannargudi 15 m.m.; Nannilam 10.4 m.m.; Valangaiman 9.20 m.m.

Thanjavur district received 146.8 m.m. rainfall. The following are the chief amounts of rainfall in the district:
