Hundreds of musicians and music enthusiasts congregated here on Thursday to pay a lyrical homage to the famed Carnatic music trinity that was born in a glorious period in Tiruvarur.

Men and women musicians glorified Saint Tyagaraja, Sri Shyama Sastri, and Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar who enriched Carnatic music with their rich repertoire of kritis that have lived to date.

Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Carnatic Sangeetha Mummoorthigal Samiti organised the annual event. The event this year was held in front of the Goddess Kamalambal Sannadhi.
