Mobile app for free legal aid launched

MADURAI

Principal District Judge and Chairman of District Legal Services Authority K. Muralishankar launched a mobile app, ‘DLSA Dindigul’, for the benefit of those seeking free legal aid, during the lok adalat held at Dindigul District Court on Saturday.

Mr. Muralishankar said people could access the links of National Legal Services Authority and Tamil Nadu Legal Services Authority. The Dindigul e-courts link could also be accessed through the app, which could be downloaded from Google Playstore.

Additional District Judge K. Karunanidhi, Chief Judicial Magistrate R. Nambi, Additional Sub-Judge A. Deepa, Special Sub-Judge S. Madava Ramanujam, Principal District Munsif S. Vipicee, Additional District Munsif V.L. Santhosh, Judicial Magistrates M. Murugan, M. Balamurugan, V. Deepa, DLSA secretary C. Vijaya Kumar, Bar Association president R.K. Ravichandran, and Public Prosecutor Kaja Moideen took part in the lok adalat.

A total of 3,227 cases and a total amount of ₹ 7.91 crore were settled at the lok adalat.
