Minister untraceable

October 19, 2011 01:34 am | Updated 01:34 am IST - VILLUPURAM:

The District Crime Branch on Tuesday moved the Tindivanam Judicial Magistrate Court after failing twice in its attempts to serve summons on Puducherry Transport and Education Minister P.M.L. Kalyanasundaram, who is facing charges of impersonation in Class X supplementary examinations held at Tindivanam last month. In its petition, the DCB stated that the summons were sent through proper channel seeking the appearance of the Minister for investigation in the case.

The Minister was expected to appear before the DCB in response to the second summons sent on Tuesday, but failed to turn up.
