Minister condemns murder of functionary

Expressing deep shock over the brutal murder of a Hindu Munnani functionary in Coimbatore on Thursday night, Union Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan, strongly condemned the incident.

In a statement issued by the camp office of the Minister here, he said that the “brutal murder of a social worker and Hindu Munnani functionary Sasikumar was a shocker to me, he was an ardent supporter of Hindu Munnani and he had rendered social work for many years”. Mr. Sasikumar had helped the poor and downtrodden, he added.

Mr. Radhakrishnan appealed to the Tamil Nadu government to nab the culprits responsible for the murder and produce them before the courts.

The Minister expressed his condolences to the family members of the deceased.
