MGR centenary to be celebrated for a year

A decision to celebrate the birth centenary was taken at a Cabinet meeting headed by CM

The Tamil Nadu government will celebrate the birth centenary of former Chief Minister and AIADMK founder M.G. Ramachandran for a year, Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami said on Thursday.

A decision to celebrate the birth centenary was taken at a Cabinet meeting on May 2, Mr. Palaniswami said in a statement.

The birth centenary would be celebrated throughout the year in all district headquarters, he said.
