Mega job fair attracts educated youth

As many as 10,330 job-seekers turn up in Erode

A mega job fair organised by the AIADMK rural district unit at Sagar School in Perundurai to mark the 67th birthday of AIADMK party chief and former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa drew 10,330 job-seekers with qualifications ranging from a pass in VIII standard to M.E. degree, on Friday.

Companies

As many as 219 companies from all over Tamil Nadu recruited a total of 3,868 candidates suiting their requirement at the day-long event arranged and inaugurated by State Environment Minister Thoppu N.D. Venkatachalam, who is also the party’s Erode Rural District Secretary.

The highest payer was HCL, Bengaluru that absorbed 10 candidates for a pay of Rs. 3.75 lakh per annum.

IDBI recruited 27 candidates offering each monthly pay of Rs. 20,000. Federal Bank appointed 54 persons for a pay packet of Rs. 18,000 per month.

TVS Motors Hosur gave job offers to 124 candidates with a monthly payment of Rs. 15,000 per month. Lakshmi Machine Works, Coimbatore, recruited eligible candidates for monthly salary of Rs. 10,000.

The lowest monthly payment that was offered by participating companies at the mega job fair was Rs. 7,000.
