Meeting on dengue control

A review meeting on the subject of dengue control was conducted at the Collectorate on Wednesday.

Higher Education Secretary and Tamil Nadu Medical Services Management Director Apoorva presided over the programme.

A review was also held at the level of Primary Health Centres and district medical services administration, on treatment for chikungunya and typhoid.

In addition to this, a joint review was held with block development officers, project officers, municipal officials and departments on fumigation activities to get rid of mosquitoes.

Primary health centres were also inspected, and general guidelines on efficient ante-natal and post-natal care to prevent incidence of maternal or neo-natal mortality, were also discussed at the meeting.

The meeting was presided over by Collector K.Vivekanandan, and witnessed participation of health officials and heads of departments. – Staff Reporter
