As the poll date approaches, all roads seem to be leading to the residence of actor Rajinikanth.
A day after BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi met the superstar, the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) released photos of its leader Vaiko meeting Mr. Rajinikanth.
The statement along with the picture said the meeting took place on April 6 when Vaiko handed over a copy of the autobiography of Ram Jethmalani with the lawyer’s personal note urging the actor to support Mr. Modi.
Interestingly, a source in the BJP said Vaiko was one of those leaders instrumental in arranging the tête-à-tête between the superstar and Mr. Modi. But whether Mr. Vaiko called on Mr. Rajinikanth on April 6 for this purpose is not clear.
