A decomposed body of an unidentified man with hands and legs tied was found floating in a storm-water drain at Nayandahalli, Mysuru Road, on Sunday morning.

A police team, along with a sniffer dog squad, rushed to the spot and recovered the body from the drain and sent it to Victoria Hospital for post-mortem examination. “The man appears to be around 50-years-old. The body also has three injury marks,” a police source said.

A large crowd had gathered near Nayandahalli Circle after a passer-by noticed the body floating in the drain. Movement of traffic was affected owing to the crowd.

The police suspect that the body might have been floating in the drain for the last three to four days.
