A 30-year-old man committed suicide after murdering his wife in Kuppam along Andhra Pradesh border on Tuesday.
According to the police, Sami Ayyappan of Varattanapalli had been married to Monisha (23), a nurse, for a year. Ayappan was employed in Singapore and had returned to his village recently.
He had gone to V.Kotta in Kuppam to meet his wife, who was staying with her parents.
Monisha refused to join him and asked for divorce. In a fit of rage, Ayyappan stabbed her to death and later committed suicide. The Kuppam police are investigating.
