DINDIGUL
A 65-year-old man was arrested on a charge of sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl near Nilakottai on Sunday.
The accused was identified as V. Mani of Gundalapatti. Police said the accused took the child, who was playing with her elder sister, to his house and sexually assaulted her.
When she came out of his house crying, the parents of the child found injuries on her body and took her to a hospital where the crime was revealed.
Based on a complaint lodged against the accused, All-Women Police at Nilakottai arrested Mani. He was produced in a court and sent to judicial custody.
