The Fast Track Mahila Court, Vellore, has sentenced a man to 10 years rigorous imprisonment for sexually abusing a six-year-old girl in 2015.
According to S. Lakshmi Priya, public prosecutor, Murugan, 51 at the time of offence, was residing in Pernambut. His daughter-in-law’s six-year-old niece had come to his house. Murugan sexually abused the child. A case was registered. Delivering the verdict , P. Mathusuthanan, sessions judge, sentenced Murugan to 10 years RI and imposed a fine of ₹5,000.
