In a major shuffle, the State Government on Friday ordered with immediate effect the transfers of 19 senior police officials.
According to an official release, P. Thamaraikannan IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Chennai, has been posted as Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Chennai North, redesignating the post of Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Chennai.
K. Shankar IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police (West) was transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of Police (North) in the place of N.K. Senthamarai Kannan IPS posted as Deputy Inspector-General of Police (Villupuram Range) vice K. Shanmugavel IPS, posted as Joint Commissioner of Police (West), Chennai.
K.P. Shanmugarajeswaran IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police (South) was transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector-General of Police (Armed Police), Tiruchi. K.N. Sathiyamoorthy IPS Joint Commissioner of Police (Headquarters), Chennai, was transferred and posted as DIG (Kancheepuram Range) and in-charge of the Anti Land Grab Special Cell in the place of R. Thirugnanam IPS posted as Joint Commissioner of Police (South), Chennai.
R.S. Nallasivam IPS DIG has been posted as the Joint Commissioner of Police (Headquarters), Chennai.
R. Dhinakaran IPS, DIG (Railways) was posted as the Joint Commissioner of (Traffic-South) in the existing vacancy.
R. Sivakumar Deputy Commissioner of Police (T. Nagar) was posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Crime Branch), Chennai, in the place of A. Radhika IPS posted as SP, Dindigul, vice T. Jayachandran posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Mylapore), Chennai. T.K. Pugazhendi Deputy Commissioner of Police (Mylapore), Chennai, has been posted as SP, Cuddalore, vice P. Pakalavan posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (T. Nagar), Chennai.
P. Saravanan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Triplicane), Chennai, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Mount), Chennai in the place of A. Saravanan IPS transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration), Chennai, in the existing vacancy.
A.K. Giri IPS, SP, Thanjavur, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Triplicane) while T.S. Anbu IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Flower Bazaar) was posted to Thanjavur as SP.
